After ten years of renovation, the old Fàbrica Moritz (the factory that used to produce the oldest beer brand in the Iberian Peninsula) reopened its doors in mid-2012. The factory owned by Alsatian Louis Moritz’s family has been turned into a gastronomic, cultural and leisure centre housed in the 4500 square meters.It is located on the corner of Ronda Sant Antoni and Casanova Street, it is much more than a microbrewery!The Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona is the Moritz flagship, and it presents everything that the brand represents.

If you visit Fàbrica Mortiz you will notice that the beer you drink is different. Well the explanation is quite simple. Here you will find a microbrewery that may be considered as the Rolls Royce of the European microbreweries. All the beer consumed at Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona is produced on-site at their microbrewery. The machine is capable of producing two,20 hL batches of Moritz unpasteurized, fresh beer.

The beer can be consumed on the ground floor of the brewery. You may combine it with some of the many suggestions from their gastronomic director Jordi Vilà. In the brewery menu you will find all kinds of dishes to take the edge off your hunger, from 6 am until 3 am non-stop!

Your visit to the Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona won´t be complete unless you visit their concept store, called the M-Store. There you will find a Triticum bakery, unpasteurized fresh beer, a newsstand with international publications and design objects, all under a concept that changes regularly.

Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona also offers a wine bar, Bar à Vins, with nearly 500 choices which can be enjoyed by the glass, by weight or by the bottle, along with an exclusive gastronomic selection in this gourmet corner.
