In the emblematic Barcelona’s Port Vell, the harbor area in the district of Barcelneta, is located a fantastic restaurant called La Mar Salada. This place is characterized by its fresh and cozy atmosphere.It is a family restaurant opened in 1993 and to mark its 15^th anniversary the family has transformed the restaurant to give it a fresher, more up-to-date style.

La Mar Salada offers two dining areas. The ground floor is less formal than the first floor which offers privileged views across the port. I t is a comfortable venue with space for a hundred diners. There is also another room which is private and is available for groups which want to make family parties or corporate meetings.The restaurant is non smoking establishment but it offers you a magnificent terrace with free wifi which is open all year.

La Mar Salad is a seafood restaurant with a touch of kitchen creativity. It combines traditional Catalan seafood cooking with the most meticulous, avant-garde techniques and presentation. Moreover, all of the ingredients that are used in the kitchen are of the highest quality and with an excellent price quality relationship.

The appetisers are always nice and the main courses and salads are painstakingly prepared. They are also preparing delicious rice and fish dishes (so typical of Barceloneta). La Mar Salada is placing a great deal of importance on being able to offer the best traditional seafood dishes. Watch the passing parade from an outdoor table at La Mar Salada and have a lunch of excellently prepared calamari, followed by the house specialty, seafood paella, all accompanied with a good wine, in a great atmosphere and at good value!

We highly recommend La Mar Salada because of its fresh and welcoming atmosphere. It is a great restaurant where you can enjoy modern seafood cuisine next to the sea!
