It has been a month since the emblematic modernista building by Gaudí, La Pedrera, reorganized its new amenities to be available to the public (+34 902 20 21 38 Calle de Provença, 261-265 in Eixample). A new restaurant with a true modernista vibe, is now open on the first floor of the building and open to the eyes of the public with large, grand windows facing the passers-by on Passeig de Gracia.

The new café is a treat for both visitors and natives with its ambiance of classic Barcelona luxury. From all sides, the café is being lauded as a new Barcelona must. On the walls, you have photographs of what Passeig de Gracia looked like back in the day, including La Pedrera itself, and on the menu, you have authentic Mediterranean cuisine.

But what is the best part? The café is open to all, like the cafés of Eixample traditionally have been. Aspasios recommends this for rounding out your visit (and staving off your appetite after a long day of sightseeing). Enjoy this marvelous building and a delicious meal!

El Café de la Pedrera is open from Monday to Sunday from 8:30am to 12:00am.
