The Bidasoa apartment is situated in the walled Old Town of Hondarribia at the mouth of the River Bidasoa. Hondarribia (Fuenterrabía), one of the most delightful villages on the Basque coast and known for its stately buildings, is very near the French border and just 18 km from San Sebastian.

Bidasoa, a comfortable exterior-facing apartment is situated on the first floor with elevator. The apartment has one bedroom with double bed, one bathroom with shower and a dining/living room with sofa-bed. It has a fully equipped kitchen.

The apartment Bidasoa is located in a new building (2008) in the uppermost part of the town next to the Plaza de Armas. On one side of the square stands the Castle of Emperor Carlos V, a stone fortification which today houses the Parador de Turismo. Just off the same square sits the elaborate church Nuestra Señora de la Asunción y del Manzano.

The Old Town of Hondarribia is a pleasure in all ways; its narrow cobbled streets and ancestral homes takes us back to when Hondarribia was a small fishing village. The ancestral homes and mansions on the main street (Kale Nagusia) in the old quarter deserve special mention.

Near the Old Town you will find the Marina neighbourhood with its typical colourfully painted fishermen's houses. The best known "pintxo" bars and restaurants are found here.

Hondarribia is one of the most dynamic towns in the Basque Country, with lots of things going on year-round. Many of the activities revolve around gastronomy and some first-rate trade fair exhibition.

Hondarribia is well worth a visit. You'll really love it!!
