Another option to visit and get to know the Collserola Park, a natural park of more than 8500 hectares that covers different towns, is the Les Aigues Road "Carretera de les Aigües", which is easily accessible. It is a very pleasant excursion to do on foot or by bicycle, savouring the extraordinary views surrounded by pure, even wild nature.
The route through the range will allow you to enjoy, if weather permits, outstanding views. On one side you can see the city of Barcelona in its full extension and the sea. On the other side, you can watch the forest all over the Valles region. Nevertheless, the view is not limited to these local landscapes, as you will be able to notice, on a clear day, the Llobregat delta and the airport, the Garraf massif, Montserrat, the Montseny, and beyond, the Pyrenees.
In the weekend it is a very popular path though it always remains enjoyable; on weekdays it is even calmer.
To get from Barcelona to the Les Aigues Road you can take the train from the Generalitat FGC towards Terrassa or Sabadell. Get off at the station Peu Funicular and, with the same ticket, take the Vallvidrera Funicular and get off at the station Carretera de les Aigües. To return to Barcelona you can take the funicular at Tibidabo or the T2 Bus. If you return by funicular, you can enjoy a wonderful panorama, then catch the Blau Tramway that will lead you to the FGC train line, and take the train heading to Plaza Catalunya.
