CaixaForum is a cultural centre situated in an old textil mill designed by the famous modernist architect Puig i Cadafalch. It is a unique building representing the modernist and catalan industrial architecture of the beginning of the XXth century. It offers a large choice of art exhibition from classical to modern and contemporary art, with temporal exhibitions. Moreover, the fabulous contemporary art pieces of the Caixa are shown from time to time. “La Mediateca” proposes concerts, cinema, debates and conferences, literature cycles, multimedia art and family programs, that convert this centre in one of the most dynamical of Barcelona. CaixaForum is a free museum. Prices vary for concerts and cinema. It is open from Monday to Friday from 10h to 20h and on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays till 21h. The Wednesdays of July and August it is opened until 23h, and the 24th and 31st of December till 18h. Closed on December 25th, and January 1st and 6th. Av. Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia, 6-8.
