At the Aquarium of Barcelona you can learn amazing things while having fun. Both adults and children will enjoy discovering the depths of the sea and various species from the Mediterranean ecosystems. The Aquarium is one of the most important educational and recreational marine facilities in the world, and the largest marine museum over the Mediterranean worldwide. It offers 35 tanks with 11.000 specimens from 450 different species, Europe's largest oceanarium, and a submarine 80-meters-long tunnel where you can see sharks and manta rays. The museum also offers various special activities, exhibitions and other services for a comfortable visit. The Aquarium opens at 9h30 and closes its doors at 21 h from Monday to Friday and 21h30 on weekends and public holidays. In July and August it closes later at 23h. The adult fare is 17,75 €; children from 4 to 12 pay 12,75 € and adults older than 60 pay 14,75 €.
