If for your next visit to San Sebastian you are looking for a very special place, a dream vacation home offering all what anyone could expect for an all luxurious and private holiday, then Villa Borobil is without doubt the place for you.

Borobil is a Basque word meaning circle. The villa received this name because of the sculpture hanging up at the entrance. It is like a counterpoint among all the straight lines which predominate in this astonishing designer vacation home.
Villa Borobil was built in 2008, conceived as a work of art in itself. In fact, a great deal of the furniture and sculptures found inside were specially designed for this vacation home. The building is mainly made of concrete, steel and glass, together with a few details in fine wood, all finished in well-defined straight lines.

Villa Borobil is located in an exclusive residential area about 3 kms (5-10 minutes by car) away from the city centre. It is a quiet and totally safe area situated on a hill over the city, giving onto breathtaking uninterrupted views of the mountains. Thanks to its excellent position, the holiday villa is specially sunny and bright.

The inside of this vacation home is distributed in 400 square metres and added to this, there is 800 square metres plot of land with green space, a swimming pool and a garage.
Everything in this holiday accommodation works by home automation including the lights, the heating by under floor radiant heating system and the air conditioning. In the evenings, the villa is like a lighthouse; as it gets dark, the house is programmed by the home automation system to light up externally.

Villa Borobil is distributed into three floors. The access to the villa is through an impressive metal front door and as you enter, there are some fine olive trees which attract your attention.
From here it is possible to go into the building or into the garage. Once inside the building, on the main floor, the entrance hall gives you access to a spacious and bright lounge where there is a large window. To one side of the lounge there is the dining area and to the other, the sitting area. In between the two, there is an open fire place.
Next to the lounge, it is the Italian designed modern kitchen, fully equipped with high quality electrical appliances. If you enjoy cooking or perhaps that someone cooks for you, then you will find that there is nothing to be missed in this dream kitchen.

On this main floor there are also a guests’ cloakroom and the access to the swimming pool, down the stairs taking you to the basement.

It is on the upper floor where three of the four bedrooms can be found.
The main bedroom, dominated by straight lines again, is a large space built of concrete and glass. Even the walls are made of glass, though they are perfectly protected from the light thanks to a clever curtains’ system. This system gives the room the possibility of creating different atmospheres depending on the guest’s mood. There is also an ensuite, marvellous, fully equipped designer bathroom.

On this floor, there are two more bedrooms which can be compared favorably with the main one. These bedrooms share the other bathroom found on this floor. Finally, there is also a terrace from where you can enjoy some breathtaking and relaxing views.

On the lower floor there is the txoko; an open plan kitchen-dining area, fully equipped but not so complete as the main one upstairs. It is the perfect place for informal gatherings for lunch or dinner with friends.
Next to this area, we find another fully equipped bathroom.
The fourth bedroom is also located on this lower floor. This bedroom is a large 35 square metres space with an ensuite bathroom. The walls of this bedroom are made of thick curtains. This could be somehow uncomfortable for all those sensitive to noise. However, the big advantage is that it is the only room with direct access onto the swimming pool.
There is a spa too on this lower floor of the holiday villa. It has a large bath and a sauna. From here you go outside to the swimming pool, surrounded by well cared gardens and a terrace with furnishings.
