In Passeig de Gracia there are the most famous modernist buildings: Casa Milà (La Pedrera), Casa Batlló o Casa Atmetller. Below Plaza Catalunya are situated the renowned Las Ramblas, a common street which is very popular to walk. Walking down through Las Ramblas you willsee the Teatro del Liceo, the Colon statue and the famous Boqueria market, famous for its diversity and modernist design. This area has good communications: the closest metro station is “Passeig de Gracia” that has connection with green, yellow and purple line, apart from railway station. Five minutes away, you will find Plaza Catalunya, which is the heart of the city in terms of public transport.
