One of the most awaited music festival during the whole year arrives once again to Barcelona: the Primavera Sound Festival Barcelona 2015. This music event has been delighting us for no less than 15 years!

Everything began in 2001 when the Primavera Sound Festival Barcelona, as we know it today, was born in Poble Espanyol, Barcelona. Divided in different stages, the festival offered performances of the best pop and dance music of this period.

Throughout the years, the festival has gained followers and it has become an iconig international music festival.  It began in 2001 with 7.700 people and, little by little, its popularity has been increasing up to 62.000 attendants in 2007 and 190.000 people in 2014. Its media revolution through the radio, the television or the press, has been such that millions of people from different generations meet up every year in Barcelona to enjoy of the best of pop, rock, electronic and dance music of all times. Along its 14 editions, the festival has hosted more than 2.350 performances.

The Primavera Sound Festival Barcelona 2015 takes place next May, 28^th, 29^th, 30^th and 31^st at Parc del Fòrum venue (Underground Stop (L4): El Maresme – Fòrum (Rambla Prim Exit). The festival’s venue is just 150 meters away from the underground station El Maresme – Fòrum).

A long time ago, the festival took place at the Poble Espanyol, of Barcelona, but it has that new location since 2005.

You can buy your day tickets for the festival through the Primavera Sound website, or through other selling points such as La Botiga del Primavera Sound, Atrapalo, Ticketmaster and Ticketscript. Tickets prices are from 80€.

The festival opening will be next Wednesday, May 27^th at Parc del Fòrum. Due to the inauguration, the festival will organise free concerts during the afternoon with the most high-profile national and international artists such as OMD, one of the members of The Strokes Albert Hammond, Jr or Christina Rosenvinge, among others.

Taking advantage of the occasion, along the Primavera Sound Barcelona festival will be different activities and concerts, some of them completely free, for instance:

• Primavera als Bars: from April 28^th to May 22^nd a total of 20 emerging artists will show their songs for free in different bars and establishments of Barcelona.

• Primavera als Clubs: from May 25^th to May 31^st some of the coolest clubs in the city, like the Apolo or the Barts Club, will receive different known music groups and other emerging bands which will offer their best performances to the public.

• Primavera als Barris: from April 30^th to May 31^st 12 performances will take place in different Barcelona neighborhoods such as El Carmel, Vila de Gracia, Poble Sec or Clot. The performances will be every Thursday from 7.30pm. It is free to attend.

The PrimaveraPro has been created in order to offer an added value to the festival. It is an activity addressed exclusively to the professionals. The aim of the PrimaveraPro is to create synergies between different companies of the music industry such as record companies, booking and management agencies, promoters, communication agencies, etc. To carry them out different networking activities has been organised:

• DayPro Conference: it will take place from May 27^th to May 29^th from 11am to 6pm at MACBA (Museum of Contemporany Art of Barcelona). There will be conferences, workshops, showcases, etc.
• NightPro: it will take place from May 28^th to May 30^th at the same venue of the festival, el Parc del Fòrum. There will be an exclusive area for the professionals and the press of the Primavera Sound in order to enhance the professional relationships. There will be also a restaurants, bar, WIFI zone, etc.
