There are three ways to reach the city centre from the airport El Prat: by bus, by train or by taxi. 1) Aerobus (Airport Bus) This bus frequently runs between Barcelona airport and Plaça Catalunya, with several stops on the road. The service functions from 5h30 until 24h30 from Plaza Cataluña to the airport and from 6h00 until 01h00 from the airport to Plaza Cataluña. A trip lasts some 30 minutes and costs 4,25 € (7,30€ for a round trip) for terminal 2; 5€ and 8,65€ respectively for the new terminal 1. 2) Train Trains from the company “Renfe cercanías” leave the airport every 30 minutes. The train has several stops in the city centre, linked to the underground network, among others Sants Station and Paseo de Gracia, which takes some 25 minutes. The first train leaves the airport at 6h08 and then every 30 minutes until 23h38. From Paseo de Gracia the first one leaves at 5h28, 6h02 and then every 30 minutes until 23h02. A single journey costs 2,20 €. 3) Taxi A trip by taxi costs some 25€, according to the duration of the trip and the pieces of luggage. If not at rush hours, a trip will take about 20 minutes to Plaça Catalunya. 5) Getting arround If you want to use public transport to get around in Barcelona, we strongly advise to buy a T-10 ticket for 7,70 € This non-personal ticket allows 10 combined journeys in any means of transport (local train, underground, tramway, bus).
