February and March are a great time to be visiting the vibrant city of Barcelona. There are events taking place across the city throughout these two months. Les Festes de Santa Eulàlia is taking place between 11th and 12th February and while this is particularly aimed at children it is huge fun for all the family. During the festival families can visit many of the city’s best loved attractions such as the Cathedral and around 30 museums too. Special events are also scheduled to take place at the Castell de Montijuic. Parades are another spectacular and there will even be a traditional Catalan fire run.
Indie music lovers will also be delighted to know that the popular band, Nada Surf are schedules to play at the Sala Apollo Club in Barcelona on 19th February. They have a string of hits and will be no doubt playing them all in their show which is playing in Barcelona for just one night only. The venue itself, the Sala Apollo Club is an incredibly popular venue in Barcelona where special nights and live entertainment are commonplace. From anti-karaoke night to “Nasty Monday’s” this venue offers a great night out.
The print industry will be celebrating in style this year with their largest event being held at one of the oldest exhibition venues in the city, The Fira de Barcelona. The Fespa digital event will be taking place between 21st and 24th February just outside Barcelona. The event will showcase the very best from the industry in terms of hardware, computer software and machinery too. With over 400 exhibitors at the exhibition there will be a huge amount to see and explore. Anyone with an interest in the print industry should not miss out on what promises to be a fascinating event.
As well as these events there will are plenty of other activities to enjoy and shows to see in Barcelona over the next couple of months. From concerts to theatre performances, stand up comedy to art exhibitions, Barcelona is teaming with things to do during February and March.
