The Lion King is one of the most successful Broadway shows that has ever been produced and it is currently showing in Madrid’s Teatro López de Vega. Not for long however, it will be closing its doors in January 2013.
The show has been performed in countries across the world and been translated into 7 languages. Spain was the first Spanish-speaking country to host it however. Stage Entertainment is the producer of the show, other notable shows to have been produced by them are Mamma Mia! and Les Misérables. Audiences know they are in for a treat when sitting down to watch this production.
The theatre in which it is shown had to undergo a complete renovation before it could open – such is the magnitude of the production. Adults and kids alike will enjoy The Lion King so if you are going to be in Madrid why not grab yourself some tickets. It may be just about your last chance before Madrid says goodbye to The Lion King for good.
Tickets are priced from 29 euros a ticket up to 130 euros. More information about the show and how to get tickets can be found here.
