If you are visiting Madrid this month then you might want to make sure you schedule in the International Contemporary Art Fair that is taking place across various venues in the city this month. As well as traditional art there will be installations to see, video screenings in public areas, pop concerts, theatre performances and even DJ sessions. The 31st International Contemporary Art Fair is set to be one of the biggest yet and is much anticipated throughout the world as the top international artists will be displaying their work.
There is plenty of contemporary arts to enjoy with over 160 galleries from 28 countries taking part. The Spanish artist Ángela de la Cruz (Krinzinger) who is nominated for the prestigious Turner Prize will be exhibiting at this fair as will a large number of other well known and important members of the international contemporary art scene. A Barcelona-based artist, Jaume Plensa will be displaying “Marrakeche’s Soul”, a large stainless steel installation set to occupy a whole floor space in Pavilion 8 of the ARCO complex. This jaw dropping creation is a must see at this event.
There will be a large number of exhibitions displayed in many of Madrid’s leading art galleries and museums as a large number are participating in this fair.
