Description

Urquinaona Design 4B is a bright and pleasant apartment which has been entirely refurbished in Spring 2010. With its pure design decoration, its use of quality materials and its views on the trees of the elegant Eixample neighbourhood with its impressive 19th century modernist houses, it is the ideal location both to live the daily life among the locals and to explore the city and its historic spots on foot.

This 60 m2 apartment is situated on a fifth floor (with a few steps before the elevator). Its sitting and dining area with American kitchen gives out on the street, with lots of natural daylight. Thanks to the satellite TV you can enjoy many international channels. There is one bedroom with wardrobe and a double bed oriented towards the inner patio and therefore very tranquil and the second bedroom has two bunkbeds. Two bathrooms with shower complete the offer.

Community Terrace is available on the rooftop.

The appartment is situated in the Girona Street, two blocks away from the central Plaza Urquinaona and of the famous Gran Via. In less than 10 minutes you will get to the Plaza Catalunya, the historical centre with the Ribera, Gothic and San Pere districts. Around the apartment, you will enjoy many stores,supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

In less than 5 minutes you will get to the Urquinaona (red and yellow line) and the Tetuan (purple line) metro stations that will allow you to move around the city easily, even if you can discover most of the places by walk.

It was great alternative to a hotel, traveling with children. The flat has enough space and js in line with the description: bright, nice decor and all mod cons provided.

Nice service team,we didn't have to wait very long for the team to show up with the keys - many thanks to Julieta, who also provided local information! All appliances in good working order, nice sheets and towels provided, apartment was very clean and a welcome bottle of wine was a very nice touch!
What should we improve?
the elevator - is VERY small. for people with kids/buggies - very tight.. we had a confirmation for a 1st floor apartment and in the end when we arrived we were placed in the 4th floor apartment - better view of course but more difficulties fitting the family in the lift in shifts.

Overall very happy with the apartment. Check in issues aside would be more than happy to stay again

Apartment well located and well equipped. The couple of members of staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful
What should we improve?
Apartment had not been cleaned after previous tenants/prior to our arrival. Check in took a long time - phoned from the airport to confirm check-in then waited outside the flat for 30 or 40 mins for someone to arrive. Person checking us in was very nice and apologetic that the flat hadn't been cleaned but it took nearly an hour to change the sheets and actually check in. Operating instructions for appliances [washing machine] only available in Spanish. Some of apartment doors don't close properly

Very comfortable accommodation in a fantastic location for a reasonable price.

There was a last minute hitch and our previously agreed check-in time had to be delayed, which caused inconvenience. The actual check-in reception was very good - Karol was amazing. We were also trying to arrange for a taxi to take us to the airport, and that was frustrating because our emails were not attended to for more than a week, and I had to make calls to the office subsequently, which was expensive.

el baño del dormitorio principal. el tipo de llaves de agua de la ducha no son compatibles con el espacio de la ducha. falta un sistema de cierre para la puerta. faltan repizas para dejar los utencilios en el baño. el tipo de ganchos para las toallas no es compatible con el espacio, sugiero ganchos en los muros al igual que para el papel higénico.
